Until 2021, the Octonauts published 7 Series. The first season of the original Octonauts series premiered on October 4th,2010 in the UK on CBeebies. It contains 50 episodes and 2 specials. The show was animated in Ireland by Brown Bag Films for its first four series. The show was renewed for a fifth series in 2018, with Canada's Mainframe Studios taking over animation work. A Netflix-original spinoff, subtitled Above & Beyond, was released in September 2021, and featured the Octonauts venturing onto more land-based habitats of the natural world.

The Octonauts and the Ring of Fire is a film based on Meomi's hit show The Octonauts. The film is centered around the Octonauts embarking on their most dangerous mission yet: a volcano suddenly erupts, awakening the “Ring of Fire” composed of hundreds of volcanoes on the Pacific Ocean floor. This sudden event quickly evolves into a global disaster. The group of volcanoes about to erupt collectively threatens the Angle Island whales washed ashore by the tsunami, the hat-belted penguins living on the volcanic archipelago, the equipment at the small vertical team repair station, and the food planted by plant fish in the marine farm… not to mention those animals and plants that live in the volcano all year round! Members of the underwater small vertical team must act separately in the Pacific Ocean area, race against time, and do their best to rescue those strange marine creatures living around the volcano.
